Rhyon James

Rhyon James is a 17-year-old pianist, composer, and music producer currently living in the North Idaho.

Born in California of Norwegian-descent, Rhyon is a pianist, composer, producer and singer.

In 2025 the family relocated to Idaho, drawn by the promise of space, lower cost of living, and cleaner air. The move turned out to be decisive for Rhyon’s existence and music. The vastness of the high-plains sky, the long winters, and the way sound carries differently across snow-covered fields began to seep into his writing.

His compositions range from current pop tracks to alternative songs with echoes of 1980s cold wave and gothic romanticism. Despite the growing attention, Rhyon remains firmly offline in most ways. He maintains a low-key SoundCloud and Instagram under @rhyonjamesmusic where he occasionally posts snippets of works-in-progress, photos of frost on piano keys, or shots of the nearby lakes at golden hour…
